Ahead of the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections, five individuals registered as DPK Gyeonggi Governor primary candidates: incumbent Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon, Choo Mi-ae, National Assembly Members Han Jun-ho and Kwon Chil-seung, and former National Assembly Member Yang Ki-dae.
Assemblyman Han Jun-ho held a 'Gyeonggi Province Small Business-Friendly City Forum' at the National Assembly on the 18th and presented plans to support small business owners. On the same day, former Assemblyman Yang Ki-dae announced his 'Gyeonggi Province Startup Transformation Pledge for the AI Era' in Gwangmyeong City, presenting measures for startup support and revival. On the 17th, Assemblyman Kwon Chil-seung held a 'Policy Agreement Ceremony for Learners with Disabilities' with the non-profit organization Slow Learners Citizens' Association at the National Assembly, pledging to establish a life-cycle support system. Meanwhile, Assemblywoman Choo Mi-ae focused on preparing for the debate while managing her schedule as the Chairperson of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee.
The five primary candidates are scheduled to appear on the radio program 'Kim Ou-joon's News Factory' for two days starting the 19th to present their visions.
