IAEA Warns of Danger at Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has issued an official statement regarding the incident of a projectile landing near Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant, warning of potential radioactive leakage risks. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated that if an operating reactor were directly hit, a severe radioactive leakage incident could occur, crossing the "reddest line" of nuclear safety.

IAEA's initial analysis found no reported casualties or serious damage to the plant's core systems. The projectile reportedly hit a small structure, estimated to be a laboratory or auxiliary building within the plant complex, and was analyzed to have not caused damage to the reactor itself or core systems. The IAEA is continuing verification efforts through satellite imagery and other means.

Although Iran pointed to the United States and Israel as being behind the incident, the Israeli military responded that they were unaware of any such facts, and US authorities have not confirmed their involvement.
