US, Israel Attack Iranian Nuclear Facilities

The US and Israel attacked Iran's uranium concentrate production plant on the 27th (local time). Iran's Nournews reported that the yellowcake production plant in Ardakan, Yazd Province, was targeted.

Yellowcake refers to uranium oxide, used as a raw material for uranium enrichment. The outlet added that no radioactive material leaked outside the facility due to the attack.

On the same day, Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency reported that the US and Israel also attacked a research heavy-water reactor facility in Kondav, Iran. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) stated that the facility was attacked twice and there were no casualties. The AEOI added that there was no risk of contamination thanks to prior safety measures.
