Episode 3 of KBS 2TV's miniseries 'Simwooimyeon Yeonriri' depicted the escalating crises faced by the family of Sung Tae-hoon, portrayed by actor Park Sung-woong. The episode was filled with consecutive events, including the runaway incident involving his two sons, the father Sung Tae-hoon's deteriorating health, and the eldest son's confession of having 'killed someone'.

The broadcast of episode 3 featured the runaway of the second and youngest sons, Seong Ji-sang and Seong Ji-gu, from Sung Tae-hoon's home. The two sons ran out and boarded a bus together, but their paths diverged when Seong Ji-gu also disembarked while Seong Ji-sang briefly got off to retrieve his headphones. Upon returning home, Jo Mi-ryeon realized the children had left home after seeing the mess inside. News of the children's disappearance mobilized the village of Yeonriri. While Sung Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeon scoured the village searching for them, the village chief couple, Im Ju-hyeong and Nam Hye-sun, announced the situation via village broadcast. Residents, including Park Soon-kyung, also joined the search effort to help find the Seong brothers. After the search, Seong Ji-gu was found by the village chief Im Ju-hyeong in a truck, and Sung Tae-hoon found Seong Ji-sang, who had been wandering.

Although the runaway incident was resolved, new worries were added to the household when the father, Sung Tae-hoon, collapsed due to health problems. Jo Mi-ryeon took care of her three sons and worked in the fields in place of her ailing husband, showcasing the realities of rural family life. The warmth of the Yeonriri village residents was evident as they provided side dishes to the Sung Tae-hoon family, who had difficulty preparing meals. Village chief Im Ju-hyeong also showed an unexpected side by helping with the late-night field work.

At home, Sung Tae-hoon discovered his eldest son Seong Ji-cheon's medical school dropout application and urged him to return to school. Seong Ji-cheon then told his father, 'I actually killed someone.'

Sung Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeon met Im Bo-mi, the nutritionist and the only daughter of village chief Im Ju-hyeong, at the school. At the same time, Seong Ji-cheon, the third son, was working a part-time job in the school cafeteria without his parents' knowledge. Sensing his parents' arrival, Seong Ji-cheon quickly hid, and Im Bo-mi took him to an apple orchard. Left alone, Seong Ji-cheon spoke about not knowing what he truly liked, expressing envy for Im Bo-mi's seemingly happy demeanor. The conversation between the two, set against the backdrop of the apple orchard, revealed their growing attraction.

At home, Sung Tae-hoon discovered his eldest son Seong Ji-cheon's medical school dropout application and urged him to return to school. In front of his father, Seong Ji-cheon confessed, 'I actually killed someone.' Sung Tae-hoon's speechless reaction marked the cliffhanger ending of episode 3. 'Simwooimyeon Yeonriri' episode 4 is scheduled to air on April 16th.
