People Power Party to Decide Busan Mayoral Candidate on the 11th

The People Power Party will decide its Busan mayoral candidate on the 11th. The party's nomination committee will announce the results of the Busan mayoral primary, held for two days starting on the 9th, this afternoon at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.

The final candidate will be determined by reflecting the results of registered party member votes and the general public opinion poll, each weighted at 50%.

Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon and lawmaker Joo Jin-woo competed in this primary. The chosen People Power Party Busan mayoral candidate will face off against Democratic Party candidate Jeon Jae-soo in the general election.
