Israel Conducts Further Airstrikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon
The Israeli military conducted further airstrikes targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon on the 10th, ahead of scheduled ceasefire talks next week. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that it struck some 120 Hezbollah targets within Lebanon over the past 24 hours, mobilizing its air force, and added that ground forces also destroyed Hezbollah's rocket launch sites and tunnel infrastructure, and eliminated armed terrorists.
Israel launched military operations in response to Hezbollah's rocket attacks in border areas since early March.
Hezbollah has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States since 1997. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the upcoming talks in Washington would focus on the disarmament of Hezbollah and the establishment of peaceful relations between Israel and Lebanon. Lebanese President Michel Aoun said the only solution to the current situation is a ceasefire with Israel, followed by further negotiations.
