Kim Ju-yun, CEO of social venture 'Dot,' which develops braille technology, presents a better future shaped by innovation, one where visually impaired individuals can access all the world's information equally. The social venture Dot, led by CEO Kim Ju-yun, focuses on expanding information accessibility for the visually impaired, developing products such as the braille tactile display 'Dot Pad' and barrier-free kiosks.

These products are exported to over 40 countries and have received recognition for their technological prowess, including being selected as 'Invention of the Year' by TIME magazine and named a finalist for the international 'Edison Awards.'

CEO Kim began as a young entrepreneur with little connection to faith, but after reorienting her business approach, she discovered a vision for developing accessible braille devices. Upon returning to Korea, she encountered the braille Bible, realizing the profound information access challenges faced by the visually impaired.

The 'Dot Pad' goes beyond simple braille translation, rendering visual information such as mathematical graphs and diagrams into tactile forms, enabling its use in education. This effort aims to address the reality that over 80% of the world's visually impaired population cannot read braille.

Dot also contributes to improving infrastructure accessibility through the development of barrier-free kiosks, designed for use by diverse groups including the hearing and visually impaired, the elderly, and wheelchair users. Ten percent of Dot's total employees have disabilities, including hearing and visual impairments. CEO Kim views them as 'colleagues sharing the same mission,' fostering synergy. She emphasizes 'living a life where one is not ashamed of their identity at work and believes all work is a mission,' leading Dot as a community where technology and faith intertwine.
