Presidential Office Continues Economic Situation Review Meetings
The Presidential Office will maintain its emergency economic response system, established due to the ongoing Middle East conflict, until a declaration of an end to the war.
In a meeting presided over by Kim Yong-bum, Senior Secretary for Policy, vice ministers from relevant ministries agreed that domestic economic uncertainty is high due to the prolonged U.S.-Iran conflict. They projected that it will take a significant period even after a ceasefire or peace declaration for logistics and transportation to normalize and for Middle East energy facilities to be restored.
Consequently, the government has decided to continue its emergency economic response system. Presidential meetings and the headquarters operations, chaired by the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister twice a week, will persist, along with the daily monitoring system for specific items.
