Preliminary Daegu mayoral candidate Kim Boo-kyum began a tour to listen to local sentiment on the 13th. Kim attended the 'Daegu Small and Medium Business Policy Task Collection Delivery Ceremony and Field Meeting' held at the Daesung Hitech headquarters in Dalseong-gun, Daegu. He plans to continue listening to local sentiment by attending a meeting with the Traditional Market Merchants Association on the 14th and a communication session with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk ICT Companies Association on the 15th.

The People Power Party (PPP) is still facing difficulties in narrowing down its candidates this week, with lawmaker Joo Ho-young and former chairperson Lee Jin-suk remaining as variables. The integration process for the PPP's Daegu mayoral nomination is being complicated by Joo Ho-young and Lee Jin-suk, who are pursuing independent paths in protest against the nomination committee's decision to exclude candidates.

The PPP held its second televised debate among six primary candidates on the 13th and plans to select the two candidates who will advance to the main primary election on the 17th based on this debate.
