A man accused of sexual assault by a woman he broke up with six years ago has been acquitted after a legal battle lasting about four years, clearing himself of wrongful charges. During this process, Mr. A shared the hardships he experienced undergoing the investigation and trial. Mr. A's story, in which he was finally cleared of sexual assault charges by the Supreme Court in January, was shared through the broadcast.

Mr. A had a relationship with Ms. B, a fellow university student, in 2016. At the time, Ms. B reportedly expressed her refusal, stating she had no intention of having sex, but later consented to sexual relations on the premise of future meetings. The two broke up in 2018, about two years after they started dating. Ms. B subsequently requested multiple meetings, but Mr. A refused. Four years after their breakup, Ms. B accused Mr. A of sexual assault regarding their 2016 encounter and filed a lawsuit.

The first-instance court accepted Ms. B's claims and sentenced Mr. A to two years and six months in prison. The appellate court, however, acquitted Mr. A. The Supreme Court ultimately upheld Mr. A's acquittal.

Although Mr. A was cleared of sexual assault charges after four years, he suffered from panic disorder during the investigation and trial, leading him to resign from his job and postpone his wedding plans.

After the trial, Ms. B continued to spread rumors about Mr. A and his family through internet broadcasts, recently even alleging that Mr. A bribed the judge.

In response, Mr. A has decided to sue Ms. B for defamation and false accusation.
