Trump Threat Suspect Pleads Guilty

Shawn Monper, 32, of Butler, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty on the 13th to threats of killing U.S. public officials and federal law enforcement officers.

Monper posted numerous threatening remarks on YouTube under the username 'Mr Satan', including threats to assassinate and murder then-President Donald Trump and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The FBI launched an investigation into the threatening posts published on YouTube on April 8, 2025, and later identified and arrested Monper on April 9, 2025.

Between January 15, 2025, and April 5, 2025, Monper made statements such as 'I will assassinate Trump myself' and remarks to the effect of 'We must start killing them' directed at federal officials, including ICE agents. It was also understood that he posted content about committing future mass shootings.

Monper stated he obtained a firearms permit after President Trump took office and had been purchasing one gun, body armor, and ammunition per month since the election.
