Jeonnam Governor Kim Yong-rok Returns to Provincial Duties After One Month

Governor Kim Yong-rok of Jeonnam Province will return to his duties on April 17th, following a month-long absence. Consequently, the administration of Jeonnam Province, which had been suspended, will resume. Governor Kim's suspension of duties lasted for approximately one month due to his registration as a preliminary candidate on March 9th.

After his return, Governor Kim Yong-rok will focus on stabilizing the people's livelihoods and economy, and preparing for the launch of the 'Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City'.

Governor Kim is scheduled to attend the '3rd UN Climate Change Convention Climate Week and Green Transformation International Week', held for a week starting April 20th, and inspect the preparation status of the '2026 Yeosu World Island Expo'.
