PPP Confirms Finalists for Daegu Mayor, Chungbuk Governor Primaries

The People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee confirmed on the 17th, ahead of the June 3rd nationwide local elections, that candidates Chu Gyeungho and Yoo Youngha had advanced from the preliminary Daegu mayoral primary, and candidate Yun Gapgeun from the preliminary Chungbuk gubernatorial primary to the main primary.

For the Daegu mayoral main primary, preliminary candidates Chu Gyeungho and Yoo Youngha will compete. Following a debate on the 19th and primary voting on the 24th-25th, the final candidate will be decided on the 26th.

In the Chungbuk gubernatorial main primary, preliminary candidate Yun Gapgeun will face current Governor Kim Yeonghwan. After a debate on the 25th, the final candidate will be selected through voting on the 25th-26th, with the result announced on the 27th.
