Small Business Agency Restructures to Enhance Financial Support
The Small Business and Market Service Corporation (SBC) has revamped its organization to help small business owners navigate difficult management conditions through 2026, strengthening financial support functions such as lending. The biggest feature of this reform is the separation of financial support planning and execution tasks to simplify complex procedures and deliver government policy funds more quickly. Through this, it is expected that support tailored to each small business owner's situation will be provided more effectively, and policy funds will be delivered accurately and promptly to where they are needed. Along with the organizational restructuring, personnel appointments were made to key positions with specialized professionals to enhance policy execution capabilities.
Kim Young-ki was appointed head of the Planning and Management Division, Lee Bong-hee as head of the Market and Commercial District Division, and Lee Hyuk-ju as head of the Jeonbuk Regional Division. The organization's functions were re-geared towards strengthening audit and safety management units to improve transparency and stability in policy execution, as well as enhancing on-site response capabilities. Alongside the organizational reform, the corporation enhanced policy execution capabilities by appointing professionals to key positions. Kim Hong-seok was appointed head of the HR Division, Kim Gwan-ho as head of the Planning and Coordination Division, Choi Chan-woo as head of the Innovation and Performance Division, Kim Jun-ho as head of the ESG Management Division, Kim Jin-hong as head of the ICT Platform Division, Kim Seong-gwon as head of the Management Stabilization Division, Son Won-ho as head of the Re-employment Support Division, Lee Jae-hyeong as head of the Financial Policy Division, Jeong Hee-cheol as head of the Financial Support Division, and Kim Hyun as head of the Policy Research Division, all of whom were reassigned.
