Jeonju City Prepares to Distribute High Oil Price Relief Fund Starting April 27
Jeonju City is preparing to distribute relief funds starting April 27 to help citizens struggling with high gasoline prices stabilize their lives. The purpose of this support is to alleviate financial hardship caused by the elevated cost of oil.
In line with the government's policy on distributing high oil price relief funds, Jeonju City has activated a dedicated task force for swift execution. The TF will operate with three teams: overall project management, field support, and public relations/IT support.
The first round of payments, from April 27 to May 8, will provide 600,000 won to basic livelihood security recipients and 500,000 won to those in the quasi-vulnerable or single-parent households. The second round, from May 18 to July 3, will distribute 150,000 won per person to citizens excluding the top 30% income bracket.
Payment methods can be chosen from Jeonju Love Gift Certificates, credit/debit cards, or prepaid cards. To reduce initial application congestion, a staggered system based on the last digit of the birth year will be applied daily. Staff and IT equipment have been reinforced at all 35 community centers.
Acting Mayor Yoon Dong-wook visited the Pyeonghwa 2-dong Community Center on the 20th to inspect the preparation status. The city is strengthening multifaceted promotional activities through card companies, apps, bus advertisements, and social media. Events are also being planned to encourage early use of Jeonju Love Gift Certificates. Details regarding fund application and receipt can be inquired via Jeonju City's dedicated call center.
