KOSPI Surpasses 6,350 Mark for First Time Intraday

The KOSPI index crossed the 6,350 mark for the first time during trading hours on the morning of April 21, 2026, setting a new all-time high. The index traded at 6,353.11, up 134.02 points (2.15%) from the previous day, driven by buying from individual and institutional investors.

The KOSPI index surpassed the 6,350 level during trading hours, fueled by improving corporate earnings and sustained momentum in the AI industry.

Previously, on April 1, 2026, the KOSPI index closed at 5,478.70, up 426.24 points (8.44%) from the previous session.

Earlier this morning, SK Hynix hit a new record high, and other major stocks also showed strong performance.

At 9 a.m. on the same day, the dollar-won exchange rate opened at 1472.4 won in the Seoul foreign exchange market.
