SK Telecom Establishes CEO-Led AI Unit, Undergoes Organizational Restructuring

SK Telecom is implementing organizational restructuring to secure future growth engines. This is part of a strategy to integrate AI technology into the enterprise market.

Through this restructuring, a 'Enterprise TF' directly under the CEO will be established, focusing on capturing the enterprise services market using artificial intelligence (AI). To strengthen the AI Data Center (AIDC) business, an AIDC Business Division and an AIDC Development Division will be created within the AI CIC.

Furthermore, for steady growth, the company is introducing a new corporate culture system that refines the existing 2-tier rank system into 3 tiers. This revamp of the band system, the first in 10 years, includes a 'Professional Track' for individuals with outstanding job expertise, even if they are not management personnel, aiming to foster a corporate culture where experts are recognized.

SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-heon, marking his six-month anniversary, emphasized the importance of discovering future businesses through AI and organizational change to employees. He expressed his intent to strengthen competitiveness in the enterprise market with full-stack AI capabilities.
