Son Heung-min's Father, Son Woong-jung, Files Petition Demanding Strict Investigation of Former Agent

Son Woong-jung, father of South Korean national football player Son Heung-min, has submitted a petition to the police demanding a strict investigation into Mr. Jang, the former representative of Son Heung-min's agency.

Son Woong-jung stated that he has never signed any documents related to Son Heung-min's advertising or portrait rights. He emphasized that Son & Football Limited has held the exclusive agency rights for Son Heung-min from 2013 to the present.

Mr. Jang represented Son Heung-min's domestic activities for over a decade. In 2019, during the sale process of Sports United, he presented an exclusive agency contract bearing the signatures of Son Woong-jung and Son Heung-min to an investor, Mr. A. Son Heung-min's side denied the authenticity of this contract and terminated their contractual relationship with Mr. Jang.

Mr. A filed a lawsuit against Mr. Jang seeking repayment of investment funds. The court ruled that Mr. Jang must compensate Mr. A for damages and issued a writ of attachment against his assets.
