Iranian delegation visits Pakistan, denies plans for US meeting
An Iranian delegation has visited Pakistan. Abbas Araghchi, Iran's top nuclear negotiator, visited Pakistan with a small entourage, stating that the visit is part of a scheduled diplomatic itinerary. The Iranian side explicitly denied any plans to meet with US officials.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Reuters that he would watch any proposals put forth by Iran. The US had been planning to send Middle East envoy Steve Wicoff and Jared Kushner to Islamabad, Pakistan.
Furthermore, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported on the 24th local time that it had seized a vessel suspected of cooperating with the US military. Sanctions have also been imposed, including the freezing of approximately $344 million in cryptocurrency believed to be linked to Iran.
