Wife in her 40s in Gwangju stabs husband after child discipline dispute

A wife in her 40s in Gwangju is under police investigation after allegedly stabbing her husband during an argument over how to discipline their child.

The incident, which saw marital conflict over parenting methods escalate into violence, has drawn public attention to communication and conflict resolution within households.

The incident occurred around 6:30 PM on the 25th at the couple's apartment in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. Ms. A, a woman in her 40s, was reportedly arguing with her husband, Mr. B, also in his 40s, about child-rearing. When Mr. B allegedly pushed her down, Ms. A became enraged, retrieved a kitchen knife from the kitchen, and stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen, according to the investigation.

Mr. B, who sustained injuries to his abdomen, underwent emergency surgery at a hospital and is reportedly out of danger. Police have applied for an arrest warrant for Ms. A, who is denying the charges, and are investigating the precise circumstances of the incident.
