Samsung Union Plans General Strike, Shareholder Group Also Files for Rally Permit

The Samsung Electronics labor union is planning a large-scale strike rally in front of Chairman Lee Kun-hee's residence next month.

In response, a shareholder group opposing the union's activities has also announced a rally. The 'Korea Shareholder Movement Headquarters' has filed a report with the police to hold a rally in front of Chairman Lee's residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 21st of next month from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, with an estimated 30 participants.

On the same day, at 1 PM, the Samsung Electronics Pan-Union will hold a rally to announce its general strike plans in front of the chairman's residence.
