Reform Party's Cho Eung-chun Announces Candidacy for Gyeonggi Governor
Former lawmaker Cho Eung-chun announced on the 26th that he will run for Gyeonggi Governor in the June 3rd local elections as a candidate for the Reform Party.
He criticized the major two parties for being engrossed in infighting rather than public livelihood, stating that the 14 million residents of Gyeonggi Province are being forced to live like 'egg whites surrounding Seoul.' He argued that voters should choose him instead of the entrenched candidates from the two major parties.
Cho, drawing on his experience as a Democratic Party lawmaker and his roles under conservative governments, expressed confidence in his understanding of the issues and solutions, emphasizing that he is different from the establishment candidates of the two major parties.
