Semiconductor Firms' Strong Earnings Spur Bonus Payouts, Boosting Housing Market

With increased performance bonuses to be paid to employees of these companies, the previously sluggish Gyeonggi Province housing market is expected to regain momentum. The positive impact of semiconductor firms' bonus payouts is driving apartment price increases in major areas within Gyeonggi Province, including Yeongtong in Suwon, Dongtan in Hwaseong, Suji in Yongin, and Hanam.

Specifically, the 84.89㎡ exclusive area of 'Hillstate Yeongtong' in Mangpo-dong traded at 1.3 billion won in March 2026, setting a new record high. Similarly, the 59.43㎡ exclusive area of 'Dongtan Station Central Prugio' near Dongtan Station recorded a real transaction price of 839 million won in April 2026, also a new high.

From January to April 20, 2026, apartment prices in Yeongtong-gu rose by 3.45%, Dongtan in Hwaseong by 2.67%, Hanam by 4.54%, and Suji in Yongin by 7.09%. These figures significantly exceed the provincial average increase of 1.88% during the same period.
