Daejeon Delivery Drivers Chase Down and Capture Motorcycle Thieves

Recently, a series of incidents where motorcycles, the livelihood of delivery drivers, were stolen occurred in Daejeon. The perpetrators were revealed to be middle school students who primarily targeted motorcycles left running with the keys in or the ignition on. These students are suspected of stealing three motorcycles over the weekend alone.

Delivery drivers who had their motorcycles stolen took it upon themselves to pursue the thieves and apprehend them. The affected drivers chose this course of action due to the lengthy time it takes to recover stolen vehicles after reporting to the police and the burden of rental costs. In a bid to protect their means of livelihood amidst soaring gas prices, the delivery drivers ultimately took the risk of a dangerous pursuit.

Affected delivery drivers posted photos of the stolen motorcycles on group chat rooms and offered rewards. A fellow driver spotted a stolen motorcycle, reported it to the police, and the perpetrators were caught after a chase, ending in their apprehension.
