Hyundai Motor Group is accelerating its transition to 'software-defined vehicles (SDVs)', which implement vehicle functions and services through software, by unveiling its next-generation infotainment system, 'Pleos Connect'. On the 29th of last month, Hyundai Motor Group held a media day at 'UX Studio Seoul' in Gangnam, Seoul, to announce the development concept and application plans for 'Pleos Connect'.

'Pleos Connect' enables vehicles to be used like smart devices, featuring a 17-inch display, a slim display, the AI voice assistant 'Gleo AI', and an open app market. The display is divided into a left side showing basic driving information and a right side for user-convenience functions like navigation and media. Various functions can be controlled via voice commands.

The in-vehicle AI voice assistant 'Gleo AI' is based on a large language model (LLM), understands conversational context, follows vehicle function commands, and provides the latest news, sports results, and more.

'Pleos Connect' will be first applied to 'The New Grandeur', scheduled for release in May, and is planned to be installed in approximately 20 million vehicles by 2030.
