Ansan City Leverages Data to Improve Administrative and Safety Services for Foreign Residents
Ansan City has launched a 'National Design Group' initiative to improve administrative and safety services for its foreign residents, utilizing its data analysis capabilities. This program aims to discover and refine essential public policies by collaborating with citizens on public service design.
Ansan City plans to focus on improving administrative services and safety infrastructure, particularly in areas with high foreign resident populations, with the goal of developing tailored policies that foreign residents can tangibly experience. This project is being carried out in cooperation with the Gyeongin Regional Data Agency.
The initiative officially began with an inauguration ceremony for the 'National Design Group for Improving Foreign Resident Administrative and Safety Infrastructure' held at the Foreign Resident Support Center on the 30th of last month. The ceremony included an introduction to the public service design tasks and a sharing of data-driven research directions.
The National Design Group consists of a total of 16 members, including foreign residents, service designers, specialists in various fields, and public officials. They will participate in the entire process from problem identification to policy proposal, conducting interviews and on-site investigations for approximately three months. The design group is set to develop concrete policy models by the end of July.
This project specifically aims to identify areas requiring crime prevention and administrative convenience by utilizing the Gyeongin Regional Data Agency's data analysis capabilities, and to establish user-centric infrastructure.
