Cho Kuk, former leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, visited Gwangju on the 17th and analyzed the cause of the recent general election defeat as 'the erosion of the spirit of solidarity and integration among political forces.'

Cho defined the relationship with the Democratic Party as 'competed in Gwangju, but in a broader sense, part of the same camp,' arguing that strengthening the politics of solidarity and integration is essential for the establishment of Democratic governments in 2028 and 2030. He added that while they competed in Honam, they had pursued alliances and unification in other regions.

He mentioned the internal tensions within the Democratic Party and the confrontational current between the Democratic Party and the Rebuilding Korea Party, emphasizing that shifting this towards strengthening solidarity is the only way for everyone to win.
