SBS to Revolutionize Election Broadcasting with AI Technology

SBS is set to unveil AI-based election broadcasting in partnership with OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT. This collaboration aims to transform how news is produced and delivered, with a particular focus on providing election information faster and more accurately.

OpenAI Korea and SBS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 7th. Both companies plan to showcase AI-powered real-time collaborative content during '2026 국민의 선택' (The People's Choice 2026), the special election results broadcast for the June 3rd local elections.

The partnership will combine SBS's election broadcasting production capabilities with OpenAI's AI technology. The focus will be on processing the vast amounts of data generated on election day to deliver timely election information to voters.
