Jung Won-oh, a candidate for Seoul mayor from the Democratic Party of Korea, announced pledges on the 19th to strengthen policies guaranteeing the mobility rights of people with disabilities. This pledge focuses on enhancing convenience in the daily lives of disabled individuals.

Candidate Jung stated that he would push forward plans to expand the introduction of low-floor buses and shorten waiting times for disability-accessible taxis. He also presented concrete measures to expand the '15-Minute Re-boarding System,' which waives additional fares for re-boarding within 15 minutes of alighting from a subway, to all subway lines within Seoul.

Candidate Jung remarked that a city that is good for people with disabilities is a measure of the society's dignity and level, and presented a vision for creating a Seoul where people with disabilities can live safely and with dignity within their communities, encompassing care, healthcare, employment, and mobility rights.
