Poll: Ruling Party Support at 46% vs. Opposition at 33%

In a poll released by Gallup Korea on the 22nd, 46% of voters responded that 'ruling party candidates should win the most seats,' while 33% said 'opposition party candidates should win the most seats.' Support for the ruling party led by 13 percentage points.

In the Seoul metropolitan area, the response for 'ruling party majority' was 44% and for 'opposition party majority' was 39%, showing a close contest within the margin of error.

Party support ratings showed the Democratic Party of Korea at 45%, the People Power Party at 22%, and undecided voters at 26%.

The survey was conducted from May 19th to 21st among 1,002 voters nationwide aged 18 and older, using telephone interviews via a virtual phone number system. The margin of error was ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
