US Temporarily Halts Taiwan Arms Sales
The United States has temporarily suspended plans to sell arms to Taiwan in preparation for potential escalation with Iran.
Acting U.S. Navy Secretary Hugh Shanahan testified before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense on the 22nd (local time) that arms sales to Taiwan have been temporarily halted to secure ammunition required for the 'Epic Fury' operation.
Shanahan added that the resumption of weapons sales will depend on the decisions of the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State.
