Generative AI Accelerates Enterprise AI Transformation Push

Major South Korean IT service companies are accelerating their enterprise AI transformation (AX) initiatives, leveraging ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu in partnership with OpenAI.

Samsung SDS has secured reseller partner rights with OpenAI and the authority to sell ChatGPT Edu. The company is expanding its tailored generative AI business by offering sales, technical support, API consulting, and implementation/operation services to enterprise clients.

LG CNS has established an 'OpenAI Launch Center' and is collaborating with OpenAI engineers to provide full-stack services from consulting to implementation and operations. The company is also broadening its scope to build an AI utilization ecosystem centered on education by running ChatGPT Edu introduction programs and AI seminars for major universities in the Seoul metropolitan area.

SK AX has signed a 'Service Partner Agreement for Enterprise AI Business Cooperation' with OpenAI. The company focuses on building enterprise productivity and data security systems by providing AI utilization frameworks tailored to each company's work environment and security requirements, combined with its industrial system implementation and operation capabilities.

These companies are expanding the application of AI across various industries, including public, finance, manufacturing, and education. Samsung SDS, in particular, is expanding its business base into the education and research sectors by conducting a ChatGPT Edu adoption proof-of-concept (PoC) for the National Open University of Korea, indicating a projected expansion into diverse industrial sectors.
