Dr. Oh Eun Young to Wife Experiencing Tire Accident Aftermath: 'PTSD Doesn't Heal by Enduring'

The deep pain of a wife who nearly lost her husband in a traffic accident was depicted in the second part of MBC's 'Oh Eun Young Report - Love Again'.

The husband recalled the horrific moment his arm was caught and crushed by a tire during the accident, and spoke of his despair at losing his limbs and his feelings of enduring it. After the accident, the husband complained of trauma, stating that his sleep is difficult because the accident moments keep flashing back when he closes his eyes.

Dr. Oh Eun Young advised that the wife, who is suffering from the aftereffects of her husband's accident, is experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and that it can only be recovered with professional help. Dr. Oh diagnosed the husband with PTSD and mentioned that the wife, who witnessed the accident by his side, is also experiencing vicarious traumatization.
