Sejong Mayor TV Debate: Choi Min-ho, Jo Su-yeon Clash Over Fisheries Ministry Relocation
Ten days before the June 3 local elections, ruling and opposition Sejong mayoral candidates clashed over the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and other issues during their final TV debate on the 24th.
Candidate Choi argued for maintaining the status quo, stating, "To complete the administrative capital, we must protect what we already have."
He pointed out the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan and the announcement by Representative Jung Cheong-rae to relocate three affiliated agencies under the ministry, countering that Candidate Jo would inevitably become a mayor who prioritizes the interests of the President and the Democratic Party over the interests of Sejong.
