Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: AI Chip Supply Shortage to Persist

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has stated that the AI chip supply shortage is expected to continue. Huang made these remarks on the 2nd at an event in Taipei, Taiwan, while discussing the supply status of new products like the latest AI chips 'Blackwell' and 'Vera Rubin.'

He added that supplies remain tight for key components necessary for AI chip production, including high-performance memory (HBM), advanced packaging technology CoWoS (which stacks multiple chips on a wafer), and wafers, the fundamental material for semiconductor manufacturing.

Nvidia also unveiled the 'RTX Spark,' a chip for personal computers enhanced with AI capabilities, at the event, indicating that AI is expected to spread beyond data centers to personal devices.
