National Local Elections: 11.0% Voter Turnout by 10 AM
As of 10 AM on June 3rd, the first day of voting for the 9th National Local Elections, the nationwide average voter turnout was recorded at 11.0%.
Turnout at 10 AM was 2.3 percentage points higher than at the same time in the previous local elections (8.7%), and 3.6 percentage points higher compared to the turnout as of 9 AM (7.4%).
Regionally, Gangwon Province recorded the highest turnout at 13.3%. Gwangju Metropolitan City had the lowest turnout at 7.3%. Seoul recorded 10.2%, Gyeonggi Province 10.6%, and Busan 11.0%.
