Democratic Party to Hold Election Commission Accountable Over Ballot Shortage
On June 3, the day of the nationwide local elections, a situation arose where voters were unable to cast their ballots due to a shortage of ballot papers at some polling stations in Seoul.
The Democratic Party clearly pointed to mismanagement by the Election Commission as the cause and stated its firm stance on holding the commission accountable.
The Democratic Party also declared its position that the People Power Party's demands for a halt to vote counting and a rerun of the election are unacceptable.
