Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, arrived in South Korea by private jet on the 5th to discuss cooperation in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector with major domestic business leaders. Huang entered the country via Gimpo Airport by private jet around 1 p.m. on the same day, marking his first visit in approximately seven months since late October last year.

In the evening, Huang is scheduled to have a dinner meeting with prominent South Korean business figures, including SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin, at a samgyeopsal (pork belly) restaurant near Hongik University Station in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The meeting will cover a wide range of cooperation areas, such as AI semiconductors, robotics, and AI data centers.

The meeting venue was adjusted from Seongsu-dong to near Hongik University Station, considering safety and convenience of movement. This move is interpreted as a strategy to build a friendly and engaging image, similar to last year's 'Kkanbu Chicken' meeting, and to broaden connections within the AI ecosystem.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has emphasized the expansion of AI cooperation with South Korean partners and clients, expressing his commitment to broadening the scope of collaboration beyond AI semiconductor supply chains into diverse fields such as robotics, automotive, gaming, and cloud infrastructure. This visit aligns with Nvidia's strategic direction, and Huang aims to further strengthen ties with the AI ecosystem in South Korea through this trip.
