40-Year-Old Arrested for Aiding Acquaintance in Promotion Bribery Probe

A man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, has been arrested by police for hiding an acquaintance who was being investigated for suspected bribery to secure a promotion. Mr. A is accused of helping his acquaintance, Mr. B, evade capture by letting him stay at his home.

Mr. B had gone into hiding in late March after an investigation began into allegations of money changing hands in exchange for public official promotions. He was found dead in a mountain area earlier this month.

Police had sought arrest warrants for Mr. A and two others. The warrants were issued on the 2nd following a pre-arrest detention hearing.
