Logistics Robot Technology Competition Unfolds in Daegu
The International Logistics Robot Competition was held in Daegu, where domestic and international participants showcased their skills in advanced logistics robot technology. The event served as a platform to highlight the latest trends in logistics automation and robotics.
The competition was jointly hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Science and ICT, taking place from the 4th to the 5th at the Korea Polytechnic University Yeongnam Convergence Technology Campus. A total of 129 teams and 361 participants from South Korea and abroad demonstrated diverse technical capabilities by performing tasks such as block recognition, sorting, and transportation using robotic arms, and destination delivery using autonomous mobile robots.
The 'KAIZER' team from Korea University of Technology and Education and the 'COIL' team from Dong-A University received the Minister's Award from the Ministry of Science and ICT, with a total of 49 teams being honored with awards.
Daegu Metropolitan City plans to continue its efforts to enhance its AI and robotics-based smart logistics innovation capabilities and boost the global competitiveness of future industry talent through this competition.
