Seoul Apartments: 'Popular Size' Units Break 2 Billion Won Launch Price Mark for First Time

The launch price for typical-sized (84-square-meter) private apartments in Seoul has exceeded 2.1 billion won for the first time, marking a 32.13% increase from a year ago.

According to an analysis of data from the Korea Real Estate Board by Real House, a real estate information analysis firm, the average launch price for 84㎡ apartments in Seoul last month was 2.13608 billion won. During the same period, the average launch price for private apartments nationwide was 727.02 million won.

The average launch price for "national size" (84㎡) private apartments in Seoul last month rose 11.5% from the previous month. Factors such as rising raw material costs and increased construction expenses were cited as reasons for the surge in launch prices.
