AI Lecture: Technology Innovation Becomes Present Reality

Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a technology of the future, but of the present. A lecture recently held in Jeonju provided insights into the latest AI trends and specific ways it's being used in daily life, offering a glimpse into how AI technology is transforming lives and the possibilities it will unlock.

The seventh lecture of the Jeonrabukdo Ilbo Academy's 'Jeolla Forum' was held on the 8th at the Jeonju Grand Hillstone Hotel. Lee Do-hye, CEO of the Korea AI Content Research Institute, delivered a lecture titled 'Practical AI Lecture: The World AI is Changing.'

The lecture covered the development of generative AI, with a focus on ChatGPT, and introduced practical applications for daily life. Demonstrations of AI functions such as voice conversation, real-time translation, and image recognition captured the participants' interest. The concept of 'Vibe Coding' was also presented, showcasing AI's ability to write code without requiring professional programming skills. Advice was given on the importance of clearly defining objectives and providing specific information when utilizing AI.

In the latter part of the lecture, participants engaged in hands-on activities, using Google's generative AI service 'Gemini' on their smartphones to create images and generate AI emojis from their own photos, thereby experiencing AI's practicality firsthand. CEO Lee stated that AI will become a fundamental competency across all industry sectors in the future. She concluded the lecture by expressing hope that it would serve as an opportunity for participants to discover new possibilities and integrate AI into their daily lives and work.
