Chinese National Arrested on Robbery-Homicide Charges

A Chinese national in his 40s has been arrested on charges of murdering a supermarket owner in her 70s and stealing 700,000 won in cash. The Incheon Michuhol Police Station applied for an arrest warrant for Chinese national 'A' on the 9th on charges of robbery-homicide.

The Incheon District Court conducted a pre-arrest warrant hearing for 'A' on the afternoon of the 9th and issued the warrant, citing a risk of flight.

'A' is accused of fatally striking supermarket owner 'B', in her 70s, with a blunt instrument at a supermarket in Dohwa-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, around 9 p.m. on the 6th, stealing 700,000 won in cash, and fleeing. 'B' was alone tending the store at the time of the incident.

Police apprehended 'A' the day after the crime. During police questioning, 'A' stated that he committed the crime for money, and it was revealed that he had spent all the stolen cash.
