SmartTech Korea 2026 Opens on Largest Scale Ever

The 15th SmartTech Korea 2026 opened its doors on June 10th at COEX in Seoul for a three-day run. The event, themed 'The Tech Nexus: An Ecosystem of Technology Connecting the Entire Industrial Process,' was held on its largest scale ever, featuring 40 countries and over 500 companies operating more than 2,000 booths. Organizers aim to attract 60,000 visitors this year, surpassing last year's 52,000.

The exhibition showcased demonstrations of smart glasses based on generative AI. Clevee introduced a generative AI-based work support platform, while Trinity unveiled an AI agent platform for database analysis, specialized for enterprise environments. NARAONE SYSTEM presented 'AI Pro,' an integrated business solution that combines AI chat, search, news, translation, and document generation into a single platform. Samsung SDS introduced AI Transformation (AX) solutions tailored for various industries, and Dell Technologies showcased its end-to-end 'AI Factory' infrastructure solutions. Wrtn Technologies presented its enterprise solutions.

At the Robotech Show on the third floor, Unitree's humanoid robots performed dance routines and Q&A sessions. China's AGIBOT displayed its new physical robot model, and PaXini demonstrated robotic hands. Engine AI and Linkerbot also showcased their technological prowess.

The newly established AI Factory Expo featured autonomous manufacturing solutions for unmanned factories. Dell Technologies, Minitab, NUBISON, BRICK, Joy Factory, IMPICS, Probotics, and others presented solutions for manufacturing data analysis, anomaly detection, equipment predictive maintenance, real-time defect inspection, and natural language-based production data inquiry. Business matching between AI solution providers and demand companies in the manufacturing sector was also facilitated, centered around Naver Cloud.

In the security sector, S2W unveiled 'Quasar,' an enterprise cyber threat intelligence platform. Peanut AI introduced 'Device-level AI Security' technology, enabling AI security inference directly on devices without cloud connectivity. IAS presented its AI smart factory solution 'Canias' and an AI data management system, while FutureM presented a portable equipment data measurement diagnostic device.

A special pavilion for quantum technology featured presentations from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Quantum Intelligence, ID Quantique, and others on quantum computing technologies.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety jointly held the launch ceremony for the 'K-Food Smart Manufacturing Alliance' at COEX Hall D. Companies such as CJ CheilJedang, Sempio, and IMPICS participated in the alliance, signing a vision declaration to drive AI transformation (AX) in K-food manufacturing and enhance global competitiveness.
