President Lee Jae-myung to Review State Affairs During Italy Visit

President Lee Jae-myung will hold a video conference in Italy on the 14th (local time) during his visit to review state affairs. The President will chair the meeting remotely at 2 PM local time on the 14th, which will be 9 PM Korean time, during his state visit to Italy, to minimize gaps in state affairs management while abroad. Presidential Office Senior Spokesperson Kang Yoo-jung explained this as a measure to prevent any void in state operations during the trip.

The Senior Secretary for Political Affairs is expected to report on plans for a parliamentary inquiry into the election ballot shortage incident of June 3rd and initiatives for institutional improvement. The Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs is slated to report on the launch of the joint prosecution-police task force and its investigation progress. The Senior Secretary for Economic Growth will report on foreign exchange and financial market trends and corresponding countermeasures.

Following his return from the visit, President Lee will convene another meeting with senior aides on the 19th, the day after his arrival, to review the system for responding to summer natural disasters.
