Woo Jae-jun, the youth supreme council member of the People Power Party (PPP), claimed on the 12th that 70-80% of the party's lawmakers appear to agree on the necessity of Party Leader Jang Dong-hyuk's resignation. Appearing on SBS radio, Woo responded to a question asking how many lawmakers he believed were calling for Jang's resignation by stating, "I believe a majority think he should resign behind the scenes," adding, "I think it would be 70-80% or more."

However, Woo also suggested, "Rather than a heated atmosphere pushing the leadership out, I think there will be persuasion," and "Many will probably agree that Leader Jang worked hard."

These claims come amid a surge of calls for Party Leader Jang Dong-hyuk's resignation from within a faction of the PPP, with 25 lawmakers belonging to the 'Alternative and Future' group, a gathering of younger PPP members, publicly demanding Jang's resignation on the same day.
