AI Service Claude Ranks No. 1 in Revenue Growth in Korean iOS App Market

Anthropic's artificial intelligence (AI) service 'Claude' has achieved rapid growth, recording the highest revenue growth rate in the Korean generative AI app market from January 1 to June 5 of this year. South Korea is emerging as Claude's key revenue market after the United States.

Until mid-March this year, the Korean generative AI app market was dominated by OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini. However, after surpassing Gemini on March 23, Claude set a new all-time high in daily revenue with approximately $104,000 (about 158 million won) on May 5, widening the gap. In terms of national revenue share, the U.S. accounted for the largest portion at 41.1%, followed by South Korea at 4.7%. South Korea has established itself as Claude's second-largest revenue market.

Claude also outperformed both ChatGPT and Gemini in website visitor growth rates from March to May this year. This data is based on findings from Sensor Tower.

It was found that 58.8% of Claude users only use the website. The high proportion of web usage suggests Claude's potential for expansion beyond a simple mobile AI into productivity-focused work areas.
