Government Adds 3 Defense Innovation Hubs, Bolstering AI Tech Development

The government has newly selected three defense industry innovation clusters in locations including Incheon, and plans to designate an additional two to three sites next year.

This measure is aimed at assisting regional defense companies in developing new technologies and expanding their markets.

The clusters designated this year are focusing on fostering emerging technology fields such as AI. Consequently, the challenge remains to bridge the domestic and international technology gap, which stems from a later start.
