Ahn Cheol-soo rebuffs criticism over Constitution Day absence, asking 'What crime is it to find youth defending the Constitution?'
After the Democratic Party of Korea criticized Rep. Ahn Cheol-soo of the People Power Party for visiting the protest site at Seoul's Olympic Park on the 17th instead of attending the official Constitution Day commemorative ceremony, Ahn retaliated on his social media on the 19th, asking, "Was it wrong to seek out the youth?"
Earlier that day, Park Ji-hye, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, criticized Ahn and PPP Leader Lee Jun-seok in a written briefing, claiming that they snubbed the National Assembly's official event to participate in a 'rigged election conspiracy rally' and ride on the coattails of extremist forces.
