Trump Warns Iran of 'Multiple Retaliations' if U.S. Troops Harmed

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on his social media that Iran will pay a price many times greater for every U.S. soldier killed. President Trump warned that this instruction was conveyed to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, and all military commanders.

On the 17th, three U.S. troops stationed in Jordan were killed or went missing following an Iranian attack. Iranian missiles penetrated the U.S. military's air defense network and directly struck the prefab barracks where soldiers were living. The following day, on the 18th, an Iranian drone misfire detonated in Iraq, claiming the life of an additional U.S. soldier.

Following the first U.S. combat deaths since the lull in fighting, the U.S. military announced that it had intensified its attacks in the name of retaliation, conducting airstrikes against Iran for the 10th consecutive day.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian characterized the current situation as an all-out war with the United States and declared a fight to the finish. Although Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Mommeni visited Pakistan, a mediating nation, to request the resumption of its role, the outcome is uncertain as President Pezeshkian cements his resolve for resistance.
